Join a conversation with local writers Debra Magpie Earling and Peter Stark as they bring us on a journey through their experiences with the written word.
Earling, the author of the novels Perma Red and The Lost Journals of Sacajewea, and recipient of the Montana Governor’s Arts Award, and both a Guggenheim and NEA fellowship; and Stark, a world-class soccer player (in the septuagenarian leagues), longtime Outside magazine correspondent, and author of Astoria and Gallop Toward the Sun, among other titles, will share how experience informs narrative, history guides ideas, and how angry hippos make for a good story. The authors will open the December 11 City Club Missoula forum with introductions, context, and back-and-forth. The audience will then have the opportunity to engage with the authors during our usual Table Talk and Q&A session. |
